Here are TEN unique costume ideas for your next Harry Potter party or Halloween bash.

1. Slughorn's chair

Slughorn makes quite the entrance in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with his unique disguise. You can make an entrance too. Just make sure nobody sits on you!

2. Dobby

The greatest character. RIP.

3. Ron with spattergroit

While Ron never really did have spattergroit, this costume is sure to be a conversation starter.

A TRAVEL BLOGGER'S GUIDE TO THE MOUNTAINS

After the buzz of our last travel blogger post I've decided to make this a monthly series. This month we'll be featuring the mountains (fall edition). I don't know about you but my fingers are itching to grab a mug of hot seasonal beverage (pumpkin spice, anyone?) and head out into the great outdoors. With the heat waves subsided and the tourists mostly departed until winter break now is the perfect time to tour the mountains.

STEP 1 THE BASICS

STEP 2 TRANSPORTATION / ACCOMMODATION

  • CAMPING VERSUS LODGING
  • VEHICLES AND TRANSPORTATION

STEP 3 WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING (NON-HIKING)

  • ITEM CHECKLIST

STEP 4 PLANNING YOUR ACTIVITIES

  • LIST OF FUN THINGS TO DO WHEN AT THE MOUNTAINS (ZIP LINING, HIKING, BUNGEE JUMPING, ETC.)

STEP 1: INTRODUCTION (THE BASICS)

Before you hop into your vehicle with your friends, family and/or dog. We need to make sure we're prepared for the mountain weather. September is one of my favourite months to visit the mountains because it's not freezing yet, the roads are clear and the weather sunny. Consider this your last weekend hurrah before school, work, weather and commitments get in the way.
